Biography

Elizabeth Avery, born 7 Jan 1724/25 in Norwich, Connecticut, was the first child of Elizabeth (Waterman) Avery (1702-1750) & Jonathan Avery (bef.1704-1792).

She married Nov. 15, 1766, at Norwich, Connecticut, William Armstrong (b. Oct. 12, 1718 at Norwich; son of Joseph & Lydia (Worth) Armstrong). Elizabeth was his second wife.

Probably they had no children.

Elizabeth (Avery) Armstrong died before January 1, 1783, evidenced by a transaction on that date undertaken by her brother, Jonathan Avery, who deeded land which came to him from his deceased sister, Elizabeth Armstrong {Norwich Deeds, 24:214).
