Harriett [sometimes spelled Harriet] Seymour Avery was born 28 Mar 1827 at Genoa, New York, third child of Edwin Avery and Julia Trumbull Collins.
She married 28 Mar 1855 @ Genoa, New York, William Owen Miner [b. 16 Oct 1820, son of Laura (Aylesworth) & William Miner; d. 22 Feb 1871 @ Genoa, NY]; they had 2 children:
- George Lee Miner, b. 1 Sep 1856; d. 11 Sep 1937
- Ida Aylesworth Miner, b. 30 Jun 1858; d. 9 Sep 1888
