Earl Willard Avery was born 21 Nov 1823. He was the eighth child of Simeon Avery and Polly Clark.
He married 1 Dec 1844 @ North Elba, NY, Cordelia Thankful Wiles [b. 25 Jun 1828 @ Underhill, VT, daughter of Almira (Pike) Wiles; d 20 Apr 1879 @ Omro, WI]; they had 4 children:
