Leslie was born at West Maitland, New South Wales, Australia in 1906. He is the son of Albert Avery and Elizabeth Leggett.[1]

He married Edna M Harman at Kurri Kurri in 1934.[2]

He passed away at Kurri Kurri, New South Wales, Australia on 5 Feb, 1971, aged 64 years.[3]

He was buried at Mulbring Cemetery, Mulbring, New South Wales, Australia.[4][5][6][7]
