Nettie Avery was born 08 Oct 1863 at Warsaw, Minnesota.

In the 1880 census Nettie Avery was enumerated at Custer, Lyon, Minnesota, United States w/parents [20] John W Avery (1825-1914) and his wife Marie [21].

Nettie M. (Avery) Jones passed away in 1939 at Tracy, Minnesota.

Funeral Services Held for Mrs. R. R. Jones
Nettie M. (Mrs. Richard R.) Jones of Balaton passed away at the Tracy hospital, Nov, 21, 1939 at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 13 days culminating an illness of five weeks. Funeral services were held at the Middleton Funeral Home at Marshal and from the Methodist church of Balaton and were conducted by the Rev. Fred W. Kain, pastor of the church, Saturday, Nov 25 at 2 PM. Mrs. Jones was a life long member of the Methodist Church. Pallbearers were F. S. Bartlett, Sam Swihart, Ulysses Cyr, Orris McNeal, Alvin Roberts and Virgil Ingalls.

Mrs. Jones was born on Oct. 8 1863, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. John Avery of Warsaw, Rice County, Minnesota. As a young girl she came with her parents to Custer Township and there she grew to girlhood.

She married Richard R. Jones Dec 19, 1887 and to this union five children were born, namely, Basil of Marshall; Mrs. Dave Harris of Garvin; Ray of Sandwich, Ill; Mrs. Arthur Stevenson of Rockford, Ill; and Mrs. Maurice Royer of Balaton. Her husband preceded her in death some years ago, but her children all survive to mourn her passing. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren.

Interment was made in Custer cemetery on Sat, Nov. 25
