Biography

This Hannah Avery, born 20 Jan 1763 at Preston, Connecticut, was the 13th & final child of Christopher Avery Jr. (1709-1778) & Eunice (Prentice) Avery (1717-1796).

She married 12 Nov 1783 at Preston, Connecticut, David Avery (1762-1823) [b. 05 Sep 1762 at Groton, CT, son of Asa & Lucretia (Williams) Avery]. They had 6 children, probably all born at Preston:

  1. Oliver Avery (1784-), b. 29 Sep 1784
  2. Asa Avery (1786-), b. 21 Jan 1786
  3. Sophia Avery (1788-), b. 2 Nov 1788
  4. Alfred Avery (1791-), b. 2 Feb 1791
  5. Austin Avery (1794-), b. 1 Dec 1794
  6. Shubael Avery, b. 26 Oct 1797; d. 2 Aug 1870

Hannah (Avery) Avery died 4 Feb 1814 at Patterson, New York.
