He passed away about 1750. He married Sarah Hider on 30 Oct 1732 in St James, Piccadilly (St James, Westminster), London, Westminster, England.
The Aviolets are descended from a French Huguenot family which emigrated to England when the Huguenot protestants were persecuted in France. They may not, however, have migrated directly from France to England. Family tradition has it that the name was originally D'Aviolet, the particle having been dropped later, but this is doubtful. It is said that the original emigrants were weavers by trade. It is not known when Anthony Aviolet's ancestors arrived in England or where they first settled. Having said that, an Antoine Violet born in France could have married Sarah (he would have been about 40 years old in 1732). Being born in the 1680s, would coincide with the Revocation of the Edit of Nantes (1685) a time when about 40,000 to 50,000 Huguenots found shelter in England. It should be noted that Violet can be found in London prior (example: Thomas Violet 1664) possible origin:
