Saunders de Alberico or de Alba Ripa (brother to the Lord St. Awbrey, earl of Boulogne and marshall of France), came to England with the conquerer and m.

Sir Reginald Awbrey, one of Bernard's companions, m. Isabel, d. Richard De Clare, earl of Briony. (children: William, Joan,[1] Agnes[2]) - b 1034, m 1079 per Aubrey-39
[1] Joan m. Sir Peter Gunter
[2] Agnes m. Sir John Havard
|
William Awbrey m. Joan, d. Sir William Gunter
- William b 1097 per Aubrey-38; Joan b 1081 per Gunter-102 (1100 probably closer to mark)
|
Thomas Awbrey m. Joan d. John Baron de Carew. (i) Vide p. II.
- Thomas b 1117 per Aubrey-37; no dates for wife Joan (or her dad)
|
Thomas Awbrey m. Joan d. Trahaern ap Enion.
- Thomas b after 1140 (1241 originally per Aubrey-37 - prob. a century error); guess for marriage date of Thomas b 1117 is 1140 (putting guess for birth of Joan de Carew at 1120)

Problem in given lineage here - "1241" was probably not a century typo. See notes on profile for Thomas Awbrey goch.
Thomas Awbrey goch, constable and ranger of the forest of Brecon, m. Nest d. Owen. Gethin. [not included by Theophilus Jones, but other sources show the birth years of Thomas and Nest as c1300 & c1305, give or take a few years]

Richard Awbrey m. Crusilla, d. Philip ap Elydr. [Theophilus Jones leaves off dates; Richard was born c1329[1]
