Biography

Emil Axelson was born on Jun. 11, 1886 to Andrew Axelson and his wife, Karen.

He married Mary A. Andrews, daughter of John Andrews and Anna Borstad, on Dec. 31, 1910.[1] They became the parents of Lyle, Glorus and Arlene.

Emil claimed exemption from the WWI Draft due to the loss of the index finger on his left hand.[2]

Emil died on Oct. 1960 in Plum City, Wisconsin.[3] He is buried at the Oakwood Cemetery in Pepin, Wisconsin.[4]
