The concensus among recent Auxier family researchers is that the Abraham Axer listed on page 7 of the second edition of The Auxier Family, and the Abraham M. Auxer listed as his son on page 16 of that edition are one and the same person. Readers are invited to read the biographical notes included for both of these entries.
