DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Joakim or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage (beta) of DNA with Joakim:

Thank you for your note about Frans Hindersson Lagg, Joakim. The ancestors of Gustaf Mauritz Grundstrom of whom I'm aware can be found at (though I obviously can't vouch for the accuracy of all the info found there!). Any additional information--especialy for Borje Nilsson (1689-1737) and before--would be appreciated!

Re: Teodor (Theodore) (Johannesson) Sundberg [Sundberg-210] ... I'm thinking about the LNAB change you've requested from Sundberg to Johannesson ... I can certainly do this, but first would like to see/understand a bit more (for my own learning purposes) about how we can know this is true. I'm aware of the general tendency of surnames shifting from referencing the father to referencing something in one's life/environment, but how does a researcher start with Sundberg and land on Johannesson?

Proper LNAB now in place for Carolina Gustafsdotter. I want to read through and consider all of what you've found re: Theodore Sundberg so that change may take me a bit longer. Thanks so much for taking an interest in these profiles!

Thanks for your help with Gustaf (Nilsson) Felt & Kajsa Jansdotter! (You beat me to them!! :) ) One of the next things I want to figure out on WT is how to affiliate the results of my mtDNA test to ancestors in my maternal line.

Hello Joakim,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Hi –

We are happy to have you as a member of WikiTree. I hope you’re enjoying being here.

I'm a member of the Mentor project, and I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can help you with?

Shirley – WikiMentor

Hello Again,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?

I want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Cindy ~ WikiTree Messenger

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there. Give that a try!

Thank you Joakim for volunteering, You are now a full member of the WikiTree community. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Please start with the New Member How-To - they are really useful as you add profiles and learn your way around. If the links in emails don't work correctly, get a "Page Not Found" error check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.

If you click the green tags on your profile page, you'll see if other members are following the tag. Add locations, Country, County or town the more tags you add the more links to community & research options

Take your time & let me know if you need any help using the site, happy to answer questions
