The ancestors of Gustaf Mauritz Grundstrom of whom I'm aware can be found at https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/LDMK-LN8 (though I obviously can't vouch for the accuracy of all the info found there!). Any additional information--especialy for Borje Nilsson (1689-1737) and before--would be appreciated!

Re: Teodor (Theodore) (Johannesson) Sundberg [Sundberg-210] ... I'm thinking about the LNAB change you've requested from Sundberg to Johannesson ... I can certainly do this, but first would like to see/understand a bit more (for my own learning purposes) about how we can know this is true. I'm aware of the general tendency of surnames shifting from referencing the father to referencing something in one's life/environment, but how does a researcher start with Sundberg and land on Johannesson?

Thanks for your help with Gustaf (Nilsson) Felt & Kajsa Jansdotter! (You beat me to them!! :) ) One of the next things I want to figure out on WT is how to affiliate the results of my mtDNA test to ancestors in my maternal line.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there. Give that a try!
