Biography

Robert was born in 1844. He was the son of Stright Axtell and Mary Kent. He served as a fifer during the Civil War. On 4 Oct 1867, he married Sarah Ann Shafer in Athens County, Ohio. He passed away on 26 May 1899 and was buried at the Davenport Cemetery, Davenport, Thayer County, Nebraska.
