Research Notes

Note: b. Nov. 11, 1857, in Pepin, Wis. married May 1, 1895, Lettice J.,daughter of
Chas. C. and Martha J. (Quiner) Carpenter. She was born May 17, 1864,at
Stockholm, Wis. He followed school teaching for several years. In1885, with
his brother Orla B., he purchased the "Pepin Star" and continued its
publication until 1896. He later established the Maiden Rock News. Hedied
March 15, 1922.
