Clarence, son of Arthur Axtell and Almira Scovel, was born on 20 Jun 1898 in Dundee, Delaware County, Iowa.^[1][2][3][4]

In the 1920 census Clarence (age 21) was the single son of Arther Axtell in Cohasset, Itasca, Minnesota, United States.^[5]

On 4 Oct 1925, Clarence married Gertrude Hansen in Cohasset, Minnesota.^[1][6]

On 7 May 1966, Clarence married Melina M. Tuttle in Itasca County, Minnesota.^[7]

Clarence passed away on 11 Oct 1976 in Itasca County, Minnesota,^[8] and was buried at Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset, Itasca County, Minnesota^[9]
