On 16 Feb 1952, Forest married Mary F. Perrin in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.^[4]

Forest passed away on 13 Feb 1981 in Beetown, Grant County, Wisconsin^[5][6], and was buried at Beetown Cemetery, Beetown, Grant County, Wisconsin.^[7]
