Biography

Born on 12 October 1864 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Abbie married Horace Shepard Young in Aberdeen, Dakota Territory in 1887.

In her early married life, Abbie was prominent in, and held many State Offices in South Dakota W.C.T.U. [?] Later she was active in housing and zoning activities of Chicago as well as other kindred activities.

She passed away on 4 March 1931 in Chicago.

Children:

1. Ambrose E. Young, b. Mar. 17, 1889, d. in infancy.
2. Irving Axtell Young, b. Feb. 22, 1891, in Groton, S.D. He married Mildred Louise Young (no relation) 1925.
3. Horace Ransom Young, b. Dec. 10, 1893, in Groton, S.D., m. Gladys Thomas
