On 27 Aug 1854, Philetus married Hester Ann Ross in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.[2]
Philetus moved to Iowa in 1852. During the Civil War, he served in the army from 14 Aug 1861 until 14 Sep 1864.[3] Upon his return, he settled near Columbus, Iowa.[1]
Philetus passed away on 29 Aug 1927 in Formoso, Jewell County, Kansas.[4]
