Elizabeth Ayer was born on 3 May 1771. Her parents were Peter Ayer and Rebecca (Wheeler) Ayer[1].
She married Josiah Paine on 24 November 1791 in Buxton, Maine[2]. They had ten children[3]:

2. Peter, born 27 Jan 1795; married 1st Sally Leavitt, 2nd Mary G. Nash, 3rd Mrs. Sarah J. Watts
3. Eliza, born 8 Apr 1797
4. Rebecca, born 12 Sep 1799; died young
5. Joseph, born 28 Sep 1801
6. Robert Strong, born 23 Apr 1804; died young
7. Richard, born 19 Mar 1806
8. Rebecca, born 15 Sep 1808
9. Josiah, born 8 Oct 1810
10. Sally, born 22 Sep 1815
Elizabeth passed away on 6 September 1852 and is buried in Paine Cemetery in Standish, Maine[4].
