Silas Ayers Sr. was the son of John Ayers.
Mary Byram on December 23, 1771 in Morristown, New Jersey. Mary was the daughter of Ebenezer and Abigail (Alden) Byram. Marriages at Christmas time were common because everyone came home to visit for the holidays. Winter was less work for farmers since no planting or harvest was taking place
