Biography

Ann Ayers - her mother's maiden name could be James. Source- Webb Family tree. Ann Ayers was born in 1827 and baptised 23 December 1827 at Eaton Secon, Bedfordshire, England. She was the daughter of Richard Ayers and Mary (—) Ayers. [1]

Ann Ayers, age 22 daughter of Richard Ayers, married George Quince age 26, son of William Quince on 03 December 1849 at Eaton Socon, Bedfordshire, England. [2] [3]

She emigrated with her husband and daughter to New South Wales Australia. on the ship Earl Grey arriving in 1851. They moved into Queensland and lived at Warwick, then moved on to Brisbane. Ann (Ayers) Quince died 10 June 1914 at South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She was buried in South Brisbane Cemetery . [4]

Old Age Pension 1908 -1909- Ann applied for this pension when she was over eighty years of age and she had to be earning less than 26 pounds per annum. Her application is held in Queensland State Archives.
