ANTHONY ELSWORTH (or Ellsworth) married Polly Williamson, and dwelt in Cornwall, Vt.

Abram F. Ellsworth, of Whiting, Vt., says Anthony came from Connecticut. Before Jesse was born Anthony disappeared, and his family never had any positive knowledge of what befell him or where he went, "but the general belief was that he ran away." ".When my father (Jesse) was a. young man he was in northern Vermont, and was asked

if he was not related to Anthony Ellsworth, of Fairfax, Vt., and was told that there was a man there by that name whom he resembled very much."

NOTE.— Martha Campbell says that Mial (?) Aylsworth and Anthony Aylsworth went to Canada, did not know where son Anthony was. Fairfax near the Canada line. Mial may mean Nial.
