Thomas was born in 1836, the son of Elizabeth and James Aynsley, at or about Thorpe in Surrey England.
The Aynsley family immigrated to the Australian Colony of New South Wales in 1849, when Thomas was 13 years old. They traveled on the Una arriving at Port Jackson in New South Wales on the 22nd of November, 1849.
Thomas Aynsley passed away in 1923 and is buried in the Cawdor Uniting Church Cemetery, Cawdor, New South Wales, Australia.

When James T Aynsley was born on 1 June 1809 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumberland, his father, Joseph, was 33 and his mother, Sarah, was 32. He married Elizabeth Chamberlain on 23 January 1832 in Hexton, Hertfordshire. They had six children in 17 years. He died on 26 November 1896 in Parramatta, New South Wales, having lived a long life of 87 years, and was buried there.
When Elizabeth Chamberlain was born in 1809 in Hexton, Hertfordshire, her father, Benjamin, was 31, and her mother, MARY, was 33. She married James T Aynsley on 23 January 1832 in her hometown. They had six children in 17 years. She died on 19 September 1891 having lived a long life of 82 years.
