Biography

Sarah Ayre (spinster, age 22, born 1781, daughter of Robert Ayre, a butcher) was married by licence to James Platts (batchelor, also 22, born 1781, a hat maker) in 1803 in Coleorton, Leicestershire, England. Both were resident in Coleorton. Date of licence is 19th March 1803. [1][2]


Probate dated 7th March 1812 stated that Sarah, a butcher, died in February 1810 and granted her estate (value less than £100) to husband, James Platts. [3][4]
