Juliette Ayres, daughter of Edward Ayres and Rachel Kent, was born on 26 December 1824 in Granby, Hampshire, Massachusetts. She married George Smith, also born in Massachusetts in 1825, on 10 September 1849 in Hadley, Massachusetts.
The 1850 Census of Granby, Hadley, Massachusetts, lists Julia and George. He is a farmer; both are 25 years old, and born in Massachusetts.
The 1860 census shows George and Julia living with the following:
1) Levi Smith, age 67; 2) Fanny Smith, age 60; 3) George Smith and Julia (both aged 35); 4) Helen W Smith age 9; 5) Annie Smith age 5; 6) Willie R Smith, age 3; 7) George Smith, age 1; 8) Norman Smith, age 25, who was a joiner; and 9) Jerry Shea, age 45.
Juliette died 05 August 1874 in Granby, Massachusetts.
