William was born in 1852. He was the son of John Ayris and Caroline Huggins.

William Ayris was born in 1852 in the Headington district of Oxfordshire^[1] and baptised privately on 6 May 1853 in Wheatley, Oxfordshire. His parents were the blacksmith John Ayris and his wife Caroline^[2]

Early Years

In 1861 William was living in Wheatley, Oxfordshire with his parents John and Caroline and siblings John and Elizabeth^[3]

In 1871 William, aged 17, was an apprentice shoemaker living in the household of Daniel Cluff in South Banbury, Oxfordshire^[4]

Death

William Ayris died in 1876 in the Headington registration district of Oxfordshire^[5]
