Biography

John was born in Pawlowek, near Kawnice and Konin, Poland. Jan emigrated from Cienin Koscielny, Poland, on April 18, 1907.

He married Adamina Adela Kryrowicz in Cienin Koscielny, Poland. Together they raised Sophie Gutkowski, Stanley Bakowski, Mary (Marianna) Zysk, Bronislaw Bakowski, Hieronim Bakowski, Anna Bakowski, Joseph Bakowski, Sylvester Bakowski, Regina Rudiak, Clara Jaworski and Annie in their home at 1908 Jane Street, Pittsburgh, PA. John (Jan) worked as a laborer at J & L Steel in South Side Pittsburgh for at least 40 years

It was 1950 when John passed away. He was buried St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Carrick, PA.
