Biography

This profile is part of the Babcock Name Study.

Holland Babcock was born in 1835 in Massachusetts, United States. His parents were Fitch Babcock and Harriet Clark. He died on December 21, 1913 in Manhattan, New York, New York, United States

His Find A Grave Memorial has an Obituary stating:

Mr. BABCOCK was a member of the Hartford City Guard, which he joined August 2, 1862. He was a member of the Veteran Association, Hartford City Guard, which is composed of members who served during the Civil War.

It also describes his employment and states that at his death he left behind a wife Mary Parker Babcock, but no children.

Holland's brother Emerson D. Babcock fought for the Union, and his brother Elihu appears to have done so as well.

He passed away in New York City in 1913 [1], but was buried in Hartford.
