Bessie was the daughter of John Wesley Babcock and Susie May Kees.[1] She grew up in Minnesota.[2] She married Burley Johnston in 1930 in Michigan.[3] It does not appear that they had children. Bessie was a graduate of Saint Cloud State University. She was employed as an Office Manager, English teacher, and Speech Therapist. She took greatest pride in her vocation as a homemaker. Bessie held membership in the Eastern Star, Veteran's of Foreign Wars Auxillary and the Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Bessie died in 1993[4] and is buried in Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, Los Angeles, California.
