Enoch was born in 1829. He was the son of Darius Babcock and Mary Rowell. He was raised in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine. [1] They moved to Cornville, Somerset, Maine before 1850. [2] He moved to Marysville, Yuba, California before 1870. [3] He married Kate Barry. Their children were:

A newspaper article on his FG profile explains that Enoch was beat to death in 1873 by Mr. Perdue and Mr. Spears. The case went to court in Marysville. [4] He is buried in Marysville Cemetery, Marysville, Yuba County, California.[5]
