Biography
Persis was the daughter of Francis Dwight Babcock and Persis Delaney Sears. [1] She was raised in Corwin, Ida, Iowa before 1900. [2] They moved to Ida Grove, Ida, Iowa before 1910. [3] They returned to Corwin, Ida, Iowa before 1920. [4] Her parents both died in the 1920s. Persis lived with her sister Bertha and family.[5] In 1940 she lived with her sister, Nellie and her family. [6] Persis attended college for 2 years and worked in a laboratory. She did not marry. She died in 1977 [7] and is buried in Ida Grove Cemetery, Ida Grove, Ida, Iowa. [8]
