1850 Census Mortality Schedule showing Youngs Babcock
Youngs' given name is spelled variously with and without a final -s, usually with in most records, but the examples of his signature in my possession show he signed his name without.
Marriage and Children
He married Bulah Bishop at Panton in Addison County, Vermont on 9 Oct 1809. Bulah survived him until about 1866. Their son James P. Babcock administered Youngs' estate and fortunately the identities of their children and heirs are preserved in surviving probate records.[2][3]
On 26 Oct 1866 Youngs and Bulah's surviving children sold as a group 40 acres in Section 9 of Posey Township to Remigius Bierly for the sum of $400.[4]
