Biography

Martha's birth record show she was born in 1760 to William Badcock and Mary Gates. ^[1]Her last name at Birth was Badcock, though by the time of her marriage she appears to be using Babcock.

William Blackman and Martha were married on 13 April 1796 in Hebron, Tolland, Connecticut.^[2]

Martha died, aged 80, in 1841 in Lancaster, New York. She is buried with her husband and other family at Lancaster Rural Cemetery, Lancaster, New York. ^[3]
