Biography

Francoise Babin, daughter of Antoine Babin & Marie Mercier, was the 10th child of 11 children born to Antoine & Marie. Francoise was born about 1681 [1] [2] and appears on the Port-Royal census of 1686, 5yrs; Cap-Sable 1708 25yrs.

She married Jean Pitre , son of Jean & Marie Pesseley around 1698.[3]

Stephen White does not give a death date; her date of death is set at after the year her last known child is thought to have been born. It could vary since Amand's birth date is also an estimate. From prior merges:  : Babin-24 had death date as 1780 (100 years old?) in Cobequid, Nova Scotia[4]. Babin-78 and Babin-79 had 1721 in Port Royal, though no Francoise Babin in any Port Royal record 1702-1755 and no Babin at all on that date.(Bourque-573 18:50, 16 August 2020 (UTC))[5]
