Biography

Marie Uranie Babin was born on 18 Oct 1814 and baptised on 27 Dec 1814 in St Martinville, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Julien Babin and Seraphie Guillebaud. ^[1]

Marriage

Uranie married Francois Decuir on 7 Nov 1836 in St Martinville, Louisiana. ^[2]

Death

Uranie passed away circa 1893, probably at her son [Louis Numa Decuir-1197]'s house. \

Identifications of persons listed on the above 1870 Census Number 1 is Uranie b1814 Number 2 is Louis Numa bc1839 - her son. Number 3 is Marie Olympe Delphine Babin Decuir b1840 - his second wife. Number 4 is Antonia Decuir b1756 her daughter - my Great grandmother m Joseph Camos. Number 5 is Louis Adelma Decuir b1867 son (not female) of Numa and his first wife Constance Dugas. Number 6 almost certainly is the widow of Joseph Aristide Dugas - her other daughter Marie Alice DeCuir b1844 - age 36 as next is their son: Number 7 is Norbert Alvea Dugas b1967. George F. Bentley
