Francois Xavier Babin was the son of Jean Babin and Anne Thibodeau.[1]
He was born March 15, 1844[1] in Eel Brook, Nova Scotia[2], and was baptised March 16, 1844 at Ste. Anne's in Eel Brook.[1]
He was a fisherman by trade.[2]
He married Madeleine d'Entremont from Pubnico, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Philippe d'Entremont and Jane d'Entremont, on January 9, 1876 in Pubnico.[2]
The couple had at least 3 children:
1. Isacc C. Babin born January 16, 1871[3]
2. Genevieve Alice Babin born circa 1877[4]
3. John R. Babin born circa 1886[5]
Research Notes
The Marriage Registration lists his wife's parents as Philippe and Jane. I am assuming that "Jane" is a nickname for Genevieve.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with François by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with François:
