Biography

Jean Babin was born about 1684 in Port-Royal, Acadie, Nouvelle-France, son of Antoine Babin (1625–abt. 1687) and Marie Mercier (abt. 1645–aft. 1693).[1][2]

I'm trying to sort out these deaths. DGFA says "d av 20 juin 1751" for Jean Babin with no location or source stated and for his wife it says "s RG PLJ 20 juin 1751"". Acadian Church Records: Port Lajoye, Ile St. Jean, 1749-1758 by Timothy Hebert does have Marguerite Boudrot's burial as June 20, 1751, but there is no record for Jean Babin at all. By what DGFA says, I'm guessing the record that SAW saw described Marguerite Boudrot as the widow of Jean Babin, although the transcription in T.Hebert doesn't state that. I have seen 20 Jan 1751 elsewhere but never with a source.
