Marie (Babin) Russell is a descendant of an Acadian
Marie Babin was the daughter of Joseph Oliver Babin and Elizabeth LeBlanc.[1]
She was born August 22, 1800 in Shelburne County, Nova Scotia.[1][2], and was baptised October 12, 1800 by Jean Mande Sigogne at Eel Brook, Nova Scotia.[1]
She married Patrick Russell, the son of Michel Russell and Marie Colman, on May 1, 1832 at Ste. Anne's in Eel Brook.[3]
The couple had at least 5 children:
1.Jean Gabriel born February 2, 1833[4]
2. Patrice died March 4, 1835[5]
3. Jacques born August 4, 1837[6]
4. Athanase born August 22, 1840[7]
5. Edouard Patrick born September 18, 1842[8]
