William Babson is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A004309.
William Babson was born on 5 Sep 1749,[1][2] four months after the death of his father, William Babson, at sea. William was a sea captain, and resided in Annisquam Parish of Gloucester, Massachusetts Bay Colony. [3]
During the American Revolution, William served as 2nd Lieutenant aboard the privateer Civil Usage.[4]
William died 30 December 1831, at age 83, in Charlestown, Massachusetts.[5]
Research Notes
The marriage record for William states he married Mrs. Nancy Rogers, and it was her second marriage. The children's birth records state the mother is Nancy. Needs more research, but I don't believe Ann Rogers is his wife.[6][7]
