Biography

Pete J. Baca, age 44 a resident of Albuquerque and Serafina, New Mexico passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2014. Pete was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 21, 1969 to Edward D. Baca and Patricia M. Algien-Baca. Pete was a beloved dad, son, uncle, nino and friend. Pete loved racing horses, softball, baseball, hunting and family gatherings. Pete had a great sense of humor and always made people laugh. Pete graduated from West Las Vegas High School in 1987, then went to Highlands University where he received his Bachelors and Masters in Social Work. Pete will be greatly missed by all. A lifetime Catholic, he was a member of Nuestra Señora del Rosario in Lagunita, New Mexico. Pete is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ned and Mary Algien and paternal grandparents: Daniel and Bernadina Baca. Pete is survived by his beloved parents, Edward and Patty Baca of Serafina, NM, son, Eloy Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM, brothers, Mark Baca and Frieda Maldonadom Richard Baca Sr., and Arlene Faircloth, niece: Andrea Baca, niece-goddaughter, Nicole Baca, nephew, Ricky Baca Jr., all of Albuquerque, NM and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Rosary services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Cathlic Church with Father Antonio Mondragon as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Nuestra Señora del Rosario Cemetery in Lagunita, New Mexico with the following serving as Casket Bearers, Greg Mondragon, Tony Mondragon, Benny Tapia Jr., Douglas Flores, Victor Ulibarri Jr. and Leroy Trujillo Jr. Serving as Honorary Bearers will be Hubert Anaya, Robert Dimas, Ricky Baca Jr., Ronnie Tapia and Johnny Vigil Jr.
