According to Pauline Chavez Bent's book "Atarque-Now All Is Silent", published in 2007, p. 76, Teresita married Abran Garcia, who had been previously married with two sons. His wife Dolores Chavez, died in the 1918 flu epidemic. Abran and Teresita subsequently had children, but none lived to be adults. The couple later adopted two of Teresita's nieces to raise as their own. One niece was Rosarita Baca, the daughter of Tranquilino Baca (Tersita's brother) and his wife Elauteria (Villalobos) Baca. The second niece was the daughter of Teresita's sister Elisea Baca and Conrado Aragon. Her name was Deluvina.

According to Teresita's Findagrave memorial page which can be viewed at https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/18129073/teresita-b-garcia#source , Teresita died on October 28, 1995 at the age of 98 (probably in Grants, Cibola County, NM) and was buried in Santa Rita Catholic Cemetery, Riley, Socorro County, New Mexico, USA. There is a photograph of Teresita's headstone at the site, which furnishes the birth and death dates.[1]
