Yes, if the merge is set for the wrong direction, one easy answer is to reject the merge. Then from the Bassett-3312 profile initiate a new merge into Bassett-2357. The lower number should be in the bottom box when initiating a merge. The only exception is if you are correcting an incorrect LNAB spelling. In some cases, the number would be higher in the resulting profile, but since they are different Surnames, it's a different count and therefore doesn't matter...

A and Phillip are 8th cousins Merge completed, you are now connected all the way back to the Swaim Immigrant Ancestor! Pleasure to meet you cousin! Kirk F Bassett merge still needs approval, but the tree is looking great from that point back!
