Biography
Captain Nathaniel Bacon served with Lower Ninety-Six District Regiment, South Carolina Militia during the American Revolution.
Nathaniel Bacon is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A068098.
The imported GEDCOM file for this Nathaniel Bacon, who was born about 1742, shows him as the son of Nathaniel Bacon (1729-1774); but this is highly unlikely since he would have been born when his father was about 13 years old, and since he is not mentioned in his father's will.
P. F. Taylor's Bacon genealogy does not show a son Nathaniel born to the Nathaniel Bacon, Jr. who died in 1774. [1]
The only thing that is reliably known about this Nathaniel Bacon is that he was born about 1742 in that part of Brunswick County that would become Lunenburg County, Virginia in 1746; that he served as a captain in the Revolution in South Carolina; that he was married to Mary ____ and had a son Lyddall; and that he died after 18 Dec 1807 in South Carolina.
