On Flyleaf: “This blessed Holy Bible was the property of Mrs. Mary Bacon of Lunenburg County, who lived the widow of Col. Lyddall Bacon, and died in Lunenburg Co, Oct 11, 1816. At her death, it came into the possession of her son, Capt. Drury A. Bacon, and at his death, in the year 1845, it came into the possession of his son, Lyddall Bacon. It has been In the family of the Bacons from my earliest recollection. Lyddall Bacon. Aug. 24, 1872.
