Nathan was born in 1762. He first married in 1786 to Sarah Hand, daughter of David and Martha (Yates) Hand. By this marriage two identified children were born, Sarah and Nathan Bacon. After the death of his first wife Sarah in 1795, Nathan again married to Prudence Eldredge, widow of Jonathan Eldredge. Prudence (Warner) was mother to Nathan's younger children, identified in his will to be Jacob, Prudence, and James Bacon.
Nathan removed from the State of New Jersey to Sycamore Township in Hamilton County, Ohio about 1813. It appears he'd intended to move onto a farm in Jefferson County, Indiana by purchasing a quarter section of land there. His will was dated the 26th of November in 1817 mentioning only two payments remained on this quarter section of land, which he bequeathed to his children. He passed away the 9th of September in 1817.
