Biography

Theodore Bacon is a part of US Black heritage.

Theodore Marshall Bacon was born on 25 Jul 1918 in Catonsville, Baltimore County, Maryland. He was the son of Marshall Bacon and Reta Queen. ^[1]

In 1920 Theodore was about 1 1/2 living with his parents Marshall and Rita and his sister Evelin^[2]

In the 1930 census Theodore (age 11) was the son of Marshall and Rita Bacon in Election District 01, Baltimore, Maryland, United States. His siblings were Rita 14, Rodger 7, Gladys 5, and Bernard 2. ^[3]

In the 1940 census Theodore (age 21) was the single lodger of Mackall Compton in Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland, United States.^[4]

Theodore registered for the WW II draft on 14 Oct in Baltimore, , Maryland, United States. He gave his birthdate as 25 July 1918 and he said that Mackall Compton, a friend, would always know his address. Mackall was his landlord in 1940. ^[5]

Theodore may have enlisted in the army on 13 October 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. However there is no further record of his service or his discharge has been found.^[6]

He married Odessa Leotta St. Hill in 1951 in the Brooklyn Borough of New York City.^[7]

He died in 2004.^[8]
