In the 1930 census Rodger (age 7) was the son of Rita and Marshall Bacon in Election District 01, Baltimore, Maryland, United States. He was also living with his siblings Rita, Theodore, Gladys and Bernard.[1]

Roger registered for the WW II draft on 30 June 1942 in Catonsville, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He said he was living with his mother in the same home she was found in the 1940 census although he was not listed with the family [2]

Roger was drafted on 7 November 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. He served from 14 November 1942 until 13 March 1945.[3]

In the 1950 census Roger (age 27), a porter, was the never married son of Reta Bacon in Baltimore City, Maryland, United States. His sister Reta and nephew Bernard were also living there.[4]

Roger was mentioned on a memorial in Baltimore National Cem etery, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland, USA with a death date of 6 June 1968. He is listed as a Private in the US Army.[5][6]
