Biography

Sir Giles Badlesmere, 2nd Lord Badlesmere was born on 18 October 1314 at Hambleton, Rutlandshire, England.^[1]

He married Elizabeth de Montagu, daughter of Sir William de Montacute, 1st Earl of Salisbury, 3rd Lord Montagu, Earl Marshal of England and Katharine de Grandison, circa 1335; No issue.^{[2][3][4][5][6][7]}

Sir Giles Badlesmere, 2nd Lord Badlesmere left a will on 4 December 1337^[8]; He requested burial near his father in the church of Friars Minor, Canterbury, Kent.2,4 He died on 7 June 1338 at age 23.^{[9][10][11][12][13][14]}

His estate was probated on 20 June 1338.

Giles was buried at the White Friars Church in Canterbury, Kent, England.

His sisters, Margery, whom William le Roos married, Maud, whom John de Veer married, Elizabeth, whom William de Bohun, earl of Northampton, married, and Margaret, whom John Tipetoft married, were his heirs.^[14]
