Biography

Heinrich was born on 12 Feb., 1755[1][2] on the family farm located on what is now the Brownstown Road leading north from Leacock to Brownstown[3]. By trade he was a wagonwright. Sometime before 1755 his first name was changed to Henry. Henry (Heinrich) may have been in the militia in 1782[4]. On 8 Dec., 1789, Henry married Anna Miller in the First Reformed Church Lancaster, PA[5]. Henry passed away on 23 Oct., 1836 in PA and was buried in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Leola, Lancaster Cty., PA[6]. He was the son of Heinrich Bar and Barbara Good.
