DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

Sharon, You are correct as above profile is wrong.

If one actually reads the American Lineage of the Baggett family, by Maury Baggett, they would understand that Capt. John A. Baggett was a descendant in the 1960's that was researching his coat of arms. This Profile should be for a "John Baggett" who was a Private (Roster of Soldiers from NC in the AR, Pub: NMDAR 1932 Page 109. ) left Service on 5 April 1782, after 1 year service for North Carolina then, moved to Jackson County, Georgia and died there in 1805. He is in the Jackson County, Georgia tax records, both sons ( John & Thomas ) & widow are in the 1805 land lottery. Thomas won land. The American Lineage of the Baggett family, by Maury Baggett, cites no source for any of John Baggetts Children, and is not provable at this time. My lineage goes to his Grandson Edmond Baggett, but their is no Source that connects Thomas Choice Baggett as his father, yes they are the only Baggetts in 1830 Walton County Florida, However, that is not acceptable as proof of any relationship for a lineage Society like the NSDAR & NSSAR. Otherwise, I would have joined through John Baggett in 2016.The John Baggett lineage could not be proven to SAR standards so I joined through my Spanish Patriots of the American Revolution. I do have John Baggett in my Ancestry .com tree, as that line is a work in progress, unfortunately people just copy & past things without proper sources.
