Born on 23 May 1616, Edward Bagot was the second, but first surviving, son of Sir Hervey Bagot and his first wife, Katherine Adderley, daughter of Humphrey Adderley of Weddington, Warwickshire. [1] He was baptised at Penn in Staffordshire on 30 May 1616. [2] Edward was educated at Trinity College, Oxford and at Middle Temple.[1]
On 9 May 1641 he married Mary Lambard, daughter and Heiress of William Lambard of Buckingham and widow of John Crawley of Someries in Bedfordshire.[3] Together they had 12 son and 5 daughters. [1]
He was returned to the Convention Parliament in March 1660 as member for Staffordshire and succeeded his father as second Baronet Bagot of Leigh on 27 December 1660. [1]
Edward died and was buried 30 March 1673 at Blithfield.[4]
